Shane Citron, DDS, MD

BOARD CERTIFIED ORAL & MAXILLOFACIAL SURGEON

Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Dr. Citron is Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in both Canada and the United States. Dr. Citron graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in 1998 with honors and was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, He immediately entered into a six-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical training program at Henry Ford Hospital during which he obtained his Medical Degree from Wayne State University.

Dr. Citron was trained in the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and completed six months of dedicated general anesthesia training in both adult and pediatric patients. Dr. Citron has had the privilege of teaching and mentoring dental students and surgical residents throughout his career. He previously served as Chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Detroit Mercy. In addition, he was appointed as a Clinical Instructor and Course Director at the University of Toronto as well as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. Recently and for several years, Dr. Citron held the position of Section Chief of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Hospital Dentistry at Elliot Health System, a level II Trauma Center in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Dr. Citron is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Royal College of Dentists of Canada and Chalmers J. Lyons Academy. Dr. Citron is actively licensed to practice both Medicine and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the State of Michigan.
